Coach Hanna Bio:
My name is Hanna Risher and I am a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2016. I currently work at Faithbridge United Methodist Church as the 5th Grade Coordinator. I grew up in Spring, TX where I have played volleyball since I can remember. I played at Klein Oak High School all four years and got involved with the TAMU Club Team as well. I have a passion for the game, the competition, and the players, but most importantly, have a passion for how the game impacts lives! I have been constantly blessed in my life with many awesome opportunities, and I am proud to say that I get to be a coach for Texas Legacy Volleyball Club!

Coach Erin Bio:
My name is Erin Parks, and I’ve been coaching volleyball for 12 years. I began my coaching career at Sam Rayburn Middle school in Bryan, Texas and also coached for Aggieland Juniors in College Station. After moving to The Woodlands, I began working at McCullough Junior High, where I coached volleyball for 7 years before deciding to stay home with my daughter. It only took one year, and I was right back at it! I coached an 11’s team at Power, and shortly after, Katie and I decided to start a club based on our goals, values, and beliefs. There emerged Texas Legacy!
I have been married to my husband Billy for 6 years, and we have a beautiful 5-year-old daughter named Kendall.

Coach Jen’s Bio:
I was born and raised in Longview, Texas, where I played volleyball for Pine Tree High School until 2001. After graduating from LSU in 2005 (Geaux Tigers!), I moved to Fort Worth to attend graduate school. My husband Miles and I met randomly at a job interview in Fort Worth, and we were married in 2009. We welcomed our first child, Tate, on August 12, 2014, just two months after moving to Houston. I coached volleyball (among other things) at Aledo Middle School from 2008-2014, and it was there that I realized my passion for coaching this awesome sport. Miles played football with Coach Katie’s husband in college, so she and I have known each other for years. Once we moved to Houston, Katie reached out and gave me the opportunity to become a part of the Legacy family, and we have laughed, cried and prayed about it a lot, giving thanks to God for bringing us together unexpectedly and allowing us to share in this experience. I’m beyond grateful and excited about working with these amazing kids and being a part of a program designed to LEAVE A LEGACY!

Coach Katie Bio:
I am not a huge fan of writing about myself…so bear with me!!

The first time I set foot on that court at Peet Jr. High, I knew volleyball would be a part of my life forever. However, at the age of 13, I had no idea in what ways it would impact my life. I played from 7th to 12th grade and ended up tearing my rotator cuff, which ultimately forced some tough choices with volleyball. After having surgery, I played one year at a junior college in Dallas, but my shoulder was never the same. Although I was devastated, God had bigger plans for me. I met my husband, Eric, in 2003 and we were married in 2005. We have 3 beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn, Kennedy, and Kinley…there’s never a dull moment in the Davis house!

So where did coaching come into play?? Well, I had coached at the YMCA many years ago and it wasn’t until after my first daughter was born that I decided to look for something more competitive. After coaching for two other clubs in the Woodlands area (both are now dissolved) and many people encouraging me to branch out, BE DIFFERENT, to BE ME; Texas Legacy was born. It has taken a lot of heart and hard work, but I am so thankful for the team of coaches I have beside me, helping me LEAVE A LEGACY. None of this would be possible without God and these incredible coaches.

I would like to give a special thank you to Sylvia Ortiz. This amazing woman gave me courage all those years ago which brought me here today. I had the privilege of playing for Coach Ortiz for only a short amount of time, but her leadership and what she put into her players has left a legacy. The coach I am today is the coach she role-modeled to me.
So here I am today, still that same little freckle faced girl, standing on the volleyball court…wanting to LEAVE A LEGACY.

Coach Kelli Bio:
I know everyone is dying to know who I am and where I came from so please, sit back and enjoy this little story about my life…

I was born and raised in Conroe, TX. I grew up playing volleyball with Katie Davis, Texas Legacy’s director. We have known each other for over 20 years! I am a recent newlywed and my husband and I have two, four-legged children, Molly and Layla. When I am not working or coaching volleyball, you can probably find me at a dog park, spending time with family or just having a lazy day at home.
When Katie and I played volleyball together years ago, most would say we were the most competitive on the team. The passion I had for the game back then still resides in me as I coach. I was raised to play with all my heart, passion, and drive, and those are the expectations I have for coaching athletes.
